• (Struggles for Poland series, Part 3) In 1939 over three million urban Jews lived under the government of the new Polish Republic. Assimilated into the Polish culture, they were at the center of a flourishing and dynamic citizenry. Within the next six years approximately three million Polish Jews were systematically killed in the most abhorrent moment in modern history. Features a profile of Polish Jews, focusing on ghetto leaders, the Treaty for the Protection of Minority Rights, the Fascism that took hold in Germany, Italy and Poland, and events leading up to the Holocaust.
