- 1977 ----- color ----- 19 min ----- 16mm
- (Chinese History series, Part 4) Covers the advent of China's imperial age with Ch'in and the expansion of the empire under Han (221 B.C. to 220 A.D.) through a variety of artifacts, documents and art materials. The period was one of centralization and standardization--the Great Wall was built, a central army was formed, the rich and powerful were brought to the capital to be under the Emperor's control and dissent was suppressed. Observes that, with the death of the Emperor in 210 B.C., the first peasant rebellion occurred and the Han dynasty, under Liu Pang, reunited the country and a period of expansion ensued.
