Increasing agricultural production is the solution to a starving population, but rapid-growth, high-yield crops take their toll on a precious natural resource: soil. NOVA examines the damage done by sudden agricultural expansion in Third World countries due to the "green revolution" of the 1960's, a project designed to feed the world, and explains the steps necessary to replenish eroded soil.
