Children of Change

• Introduces the difficulties the Hmong people are facing in trying to become part of their new country--America. Gradually forced out of their homelands because of the Vietnam War, the Hmong are war refugees. They face obstacles few of our ancestors faced: the distrust of the people around them; the distrust of a culture not understood; the prejudice against the refugees of a hated war; and geographic, economic, humanistic cultural shock.
