Congress and the Media

Shows how Congressmen seek and try to structure their coverage by their local press and television stations. Shows how national media treatment of Congress is more detached and critical. Congress and the press need each other, but they often need each other for conflicting reasons. Like much else in Washington, it's a system of checks and balances.
