48 Hours on Crack Street
- 1986 ----- color ----- 120 min ----- vhs
- (Produced by CBS News) In a massive effort to show the American public how wide-spread drug use pervades the country, CBS News focuses on a 48 hour period in and around New York City. Every level of society is exposed as the cameras move from 42nd Street, to the suburbs, to Wall Street as the peddlers, pushers and users exchange money and drugs. Neighborhoods are shown under seige by the pushers. Scenes of drug-overdoses are intermingled with crys for help--and politicians arguing about funding. (NOTE: Some scenes may be too intense for general use.)
