• Explains that in Ghana, West Africa, the King of the Ashanti Nation, Sir Osei Agyeman Prempeh II, has died and records the Nation's chiefs and other followers as they gather at the capital, Kumasi, to pay respects to the dead King and welcome his successor. Portrays the grandeur of the eight-day funeral celebration and documents the traditional practices, dances, music, dress and symbols of position which bind the Nation together. Indicates that the Ceremony of the Golden Stool highlights the transfer of kingship and symbolizes the reinforcement of the new king's leadership.
