- Follows the daily routines and explores the life and home of Qasim, a devout Sunni Muslim and successful businessman who lives in Lucknow, India. He and his children describe what it is like to be a Muslim, the importance of daily prayer, Islamic education, dietary customs and the centrality of the Qur'an. Although we do not meet Qasim's first wife, who has been observing seclusion since she was six, we meet his other two wives. They describe their relationships toward Qasim, each other, and each others' children, as well as their roles in the extended family.
