English has changed in many ways as it has taken hold in these regions. Examines the cultures and political ambitions of many former colonies and uses the modification of English as an example of how newly independent countries shape their own future. Explores forms of Pidgin English, almost a new language. Will English become the super language spoken by people all over the world or will it fracture into many distinct local languages?
