- "Being a Mexican-American can leave you with only a hyphen."--Ruben Salazar. Explores the various manifestations of bias, oppression and discrimination which affect the Mexican-Americans. Presents the goals of the Chicano movement and the various organizations which represent the Mexican-American community. Most do not want to give up their language and their cultural heritage. They want to be visible and have a voice in the decision making which affects their lives.
