He describes his observations on the Galapagos finches that later figured in his conclusions on organic evolution. Discusses Origin of Species and Descent of Man. He explains the growth of his agnosticism and also the loss of his love of poetry, music and fine art. He advises his listeners: "Love science, but do not worship it."
