Bushmen of the Kalahari
- 1974 ----- color ----- 50 min ----- 16mm
- Only twenty years ago the !Kung lived in the Western Kalahari desert without herds or crops. Their lives depended not only on the roots they gathered, the nuts and berries they picked and the game they hunted but also on their intangible culture--great knowledge of the environment, the bonds of family and friendship and the wealth of music and beliefs that sustained them. Today the Bushmen have been forced into a non-nomadic life by political governments that have no application to the !Kung's way of life.
