Buddhism in China

- Surveys the development of Buddhism in China from its introduction to its subsequent growth and transformation. Basic ideas of Chinese Buddhism and their influence on the character and life of the Chinese are discussed. Using great works of art, live scenes, maps and animation the drama of the introduction of Buddhism into China proclaims it to be the greatest single event in cultural exchange between China and the outside world prior to the modern age.
