Presents an inquiry into the motives, as well as the risks involved in drug-taking behavior and asks whether lasting personal happiness, solution of problems and escape from boredom can be achieved through the use of drugs that produce mood or mind alteration. Examines detection and rehabilitation programs. Differentiation and characteristic behavior patterns of casual drinkers, excessive drinkers and alcoholics that may serve as warning signs of alcoholism are defined.
