Birth of the Red Kangaroo, The

• An unusual and vivid documentation of the development of the Australian red kangaroo from conception through the first year of life. Illustrates the unique features of marsupial development including the differences between the adult male and female reproductive cycles, mating behavior and female behavioral patterns during pregnancy and birth. Shows the first footage ever taken of the newborn kangaroo's journey from the birth canal to the pouch where it remains for six months receiving nutritive milk from the mother to complete its development.
