Elaine Noble is a young, intelligent, vigorous, idealistic American woman in politics. Elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives, her constituency combines the affluent Boston Back Bay area with the multi-racial, working-class Fenway district. She is dedicated to the varied problems of these diverse citizens. In addition, Elaine Noble is gay. Because of the still-existing prejudice and fear of homosexuality she feels it important to be open about her gayness and to confront the issue with absolute candor.
