- As the players on the Hollywood Hills Red Raiders and the Miramar Saints (Florida) play their big game, Mike Wallace questions the Lombardi principle that seems to govern the adults supervising the competition: "Winning isn't everything; it's the only thing!" The coaches and the parents are able to verbalize their own positive opinions and the opportunities that competition provides to the youngsters. The players, however, seem somewhat unclear as to the benefits and remark how playing this "game" will make them "better men."
