- A family of four (grandchild, the grandchild's parents and the grandfather) are off on a picnic in the country, leaving behind their crowded city apartment. Nothing unnatural or unusual appears to be happening, but gradually one becomes aware that for the elderly man it is a one-way trip. The place of retreat to which he has been brought by those who love him is to become a place of compulsory solitude and obsolescence. The nuclear family disposes of what it can no longer contain.
