- Carl Sagan, using maps, charts and photographs, takes the viewer on a simulated tour from earth to the star, Gamma Cephi and back again. Other topics include tracing the origins of solar flares to the face of the sun, the nuclear processes taking place on the stars and the nuclear life of stars and a study of neutrinos (rays coming from the heart of the sun) which can be used to determine the temperature of the center of the sun.
