- (Historical Collection) (Directed by Albert Lamorisse, The Red Balloon) Portrays the splendors of the palace and gardens of Versailles from the air. Using special devices for eliminating camera vibration, Lamorisse shot most of the film from a helicopter. The unusual viewpoint adds to a greater understanding and appreciation of Versailles. A musical score by Mouret, composed at the time of the Sun King, adds an extra touch. (Cannes Film Festival Grand Prize)
