- "Millions of people drive home from parties and bars every night. We drink and then drive and we rarely give it a second thought. It's just part of the way we live in America." There are 25,000 traffic deaths a year involving alcohol. Several American studies are shown dealing with the effects of alcohol on the driving drinker. In Nashville, Tennessee the police force has instituted the Mobile Breath Alcohol Testing Unit to restrict the drunken driver. Sweden's strict laws are examined including the heavy penalties which may mean imprisonment for the first offense. Deaths due to drunken driving can be reduced by total community involvement.
