Bend in the Niger, The

• Follows one of Africa's great rivers as it flows northward in West Africa to Timbuktu, then eastward to the Atlantic Ocean. Provides glimpses of the cultures and people who live along the river such as the Bambaras, the Bororos, the Moslem Hausa, the Tauregs and the Dendi. The beauty and diversity of Dogon art is exemplified by sculpture and architecture.
