- (Northwest Resource Center for Children, Youth and Families) This study of the abuse of children's rights and the inequities of juvenile justice focuses on two types of children: the child who has committed a child's crime, such as truancy, and the child who has committed a serious crime. These children often end up sharing the same dehumanizing facilities with the result that many emerge as hardened criminals. The awareness of the injustices in the treatment of children under the law will lead, hopefully, to new methods of guidance and rehabilitation.
