- The village of Tepoztlan in Mexico emerges from its traditional isolation into the modern world of change. The building of a road link with Cuernavaca and Mexico City brings these people into contact with new industrial, agricultural and social changes. Some significant factors for village change include modern methods of irrigation and cultivation, a new type of employer-employee relationship as skilled labor develops, as well as the establishment of a modern school, hospital and an international art colony attracting tourists.
