Teenage Father

- (Produced by the Children's Home Society of California) Presents the story of a seventeen-year-old high school boy, John, who discovers that his fifteen-year-old girlfriend, Kim, is pregnant. He must, accordingly, make a number of adjustments in his life. Through interviews with John's parents, friends, Kim's mother and a social worker, we see how each person views the situation. As neither want to marry, indecision on Kim's part keeps John unaware of what will happen after the baby is born. When the child is born, John learns how little control he has over how Kim's final decision will affect the rest of his life. (Best Live Action Short, 1979 Academy Award)
