Sub-Micron Challenge, The

• (Industrial Japan series) Presents an overview of semiconductor technology. In a brief introduction to the development of micron technology since the late 1950's, the film shows the miniaturization and multiplication of components in an integrated circuit. The major portion of the film details the development and production of a LSI (large-scale integrated circuit) chip. A wafer fabrication plant where the production process occurs is presented.
