Describes the founding, twenty years ago, of Guerrero Negro, in Baja, a town of 5,000 people, to meet the worldwide need for salt that soared with the advancement of the chemical industry. Presents the role of the multinational corporation in the current world economy and the interaction of businesses in developed and less-developed nations.
