- (Historical Collection) Uses animation and laboratory demonstrations to develop the proton donor-acceptor theory to interpret the behavior of acid-base indicators. Determines equilibrium constants of four indicators, which are then arranged in order to decreasing acid strength. Shows competition among bases for protons by mixing the indicators and showing that each changes color at different total acidity.
