Photosynthesis - Starch Formation: Light Factor

- Demonstrates the requirement for chlorophyll and CO2 for photosynthetic starch synthesis. Starch-iodine test of variegated leaves shows chlorophyll requirement. Shows prevention of starch production when lower but not upper leaf surface is painted with transparent, CO2-impermeable acryllic film. Examination of films shows stomates on lower, but not upper leaf surface.
