Photosynthesis - Oxygen Production: Factors Chlorophyll and Co2
- 1974 ----- color ----- 5 min ----- 16mm
- Demonstrates requirement for chlorophyll and CO2 for photosynthetic oxygen evolution. The conversion of yellow, reduced indigo carmine to the blue, oxidized form is used as an assay for oxygen. Shows that leaves but not flowers or roots produce O2 in light. Shows O2 is produced only when CO2 is present in dye solution.
