P.A.T.C.H. (Positive Approach to Changing Humans)

• Principles of behavior modification as they apply to classroom teaching are clearly discussed using printed term definitions. Reporting on the results of one school district's experiment with this teaching approach, teachers are shown learning about and then applying concepts of operant conditioning, positive reinforcement and intermittent reinforcement in the classroom to solve a variety of behavioral problems. Visuals reveal how instructors can pinpoint undesirable behavior and then change it with appropriate motivational materials. The use of intrinsic and real reinforcement is also discussed with numerous examples.
