Oscar for Signor Rossi, An
- 1962 ----- color ----- 11 min ----- 16mm
- A satire on experimental filmmaking and film festivals told in animation. An enthusiastic amateur buys a camera, dreams of winning an "Oscar" and produces a film in which he has incorporated all the "sure-fire" elements of avant-garde films. When his film is rejected by a festival, he cuts it up, throws paint on it and stomps on it, after which--of course--it wins first prize as an abstract.
