  • Bigotry, demagoguery, economic rivalry and destruction are elements in the ugly nature of prejudice. These elements are all present in Ulster, the Protestant dominated section of Northern Ireland. Roman Catholics, one-third of this industrial nation, accuse the Protestant majority, which controls the economy and government, of openly discriminating against them. The Catholics, in turn, have created a separate culture for themselves which has led to greater differences. Probes the irrational hatred and brutality that results from the lack of understanding between groups and provides a classic example of the pattern of prejudice.
