- Much of the art of the Northwest, particularly that emanating from the Puget Sound area, reflects a unique set of recurring influences. Focuses on the work of painters Mark Tobey, Kenneth Callahan, Morris Graves, Margaret Tomkins, Guy Anderson, Paul Horiuchi, Helmi Juvonen and George Tsutakawa. Presents an historically informative yet contemporary documentary as it broadly examines the regional characteristics of Northwest art from the 1930's to the near present. Weaves together statements from artists, patrons and members of the art community with historic footage and rare photographs, as it presents an account of the evolution of the artists and their environment.
