Nihon No Buyo

- (Historical Collection) Demonstrates various folk dances which remain in Japan: Miko Mai, Bon Odori, Hanagasa Odori and Kamigata Mai. In some of these dance forms, samisen accompaniment was used, which led to the creation of a new dance form, Kanbuso (a kind of Kabuki dance) completed in the Edo Period. (In Japanese without English subtitles)
