Mystery of Stonehenge, The
- 1966 ----- color ----- 57 min ----- 16mm/vhs
- Outlines the three stages of Stonehenge's development and describes the means by which the enormous stones were transported from Wales and the Marlborough Downs to the site on the Salisbury Plain and then placed in position. Dr. Gerald Hawkins reviews his theory, stating his predictions of solar and lunar alignments with specific Stonehenge arches and the heelstone. Two empirical tests of the alignments predicted by Hawkins' theory are recorded, and three of the twenty-four solar positions are confirmed, providing proof that the other twenty-two will also align, supporting Hawkins' theory.
