Monkeys of Mysore, The

- Observes the delicately balanced social system of the bonnett macaque monkeys in their natural environment in South India. A troop of about sixty of these monkeys is seen to have an authoritarian, strictly enforced dominance hierarchy, tempered by close social interactions and communicated by means of subtle and complex gestures and sounds. Examples of their eating habits, mutual grooming, play, sexual activity, fighting among the males and the resolution of these fights, care of infants and other activities of young and adult monkeys are shown.
