- Follows a group of black African laborers who leave their city one Sunday and don tribal garb. On sacred ground they kill a dog, drink the blood and dance till foam gathers on their mouths and they are "possessed." The next day they are back in their overalls and on the job obeying the laws and customs of another, Europeanized world. Presents the powerful and concise confrontation of Africans astride two worlds. One of the most famous anthropological documentaries produced.
