Art and Perception: Learning to See

- Visual awareness includes much more than the mere recognition and identification of objects. Artists look for color, line, qualities of light, texture and form. The viewer is encouraged to look for these visual elements of art as three familiar environments are explored: the country, the city and the seashore. A variety of paintings illustrate the visual inspiration and imaginative inventiveness the artist brings to his subject.
