I'll Find a Way

- Nadia de Franco was born with spina bifida, a malformation of the backbone that influences the development of the spinal cord and can cause crippling disabilities. She must wear a brace, needs crutches to walk, has spent her life undergoing physiotherapy, and is keenly aware of the difficulty of being a handicapped person--but she doesn't feel different, limited or condemned to less than a full and happy life. She makes the clear and moving point that she and her handicapped classmates all want to be considered ordinary and don't want to be pitied because they feel ordinary and don't pity each other or themselves.
