Hinduism: The Many Paths to God

• Along the Ganges, India's holiest river and itself one of the principal gods in Hinduism's pantheon, the camera details how holy men spend their lives in devotion and solitary meditation. At Hardwar, one of the world's most sacred cities, the devout are shown bathing in the holy river and offering garlands while the temple priest pours sanctified water and anoints the worshipers with sacred sandalwood paste. In Benares, holiest city in the world for half a billion people, the gods of Hinduism receive their most passionate supplication and the faithful give up the bodies of their dead to the holy water of the Ganges.
