- (Image India series) Shows a hereditary acharya or preceptor, administering to a non-brahmin couple, the qualifying initiation consisting of five discrete ritual sections: branding their shoulders, imprinting the sacred marks of Vishnu and Sri on their bodies, reciting his lineage, giving the couple a new name as disciples between whom he and his forefathers now stand as intermediaries and intercessors to the Lord, imparting to them the sacred formula by which god can be properly worshipped.
