- In early 1942 over 100,000 American citizens were forced to abandon their homes and relocate in detention centers. Their crime was to be of Japanese descent at a time when the United States was at war with Japan. Nothing has been done since that time to insure that this could not happen again. Any minority judged to be a threat to the safety of the nation could face the same treatment.
