Film: The Art of the Impossible

- Film director Michael Ritchie (Downhill Racer and The Candidate among others) discusses the director's role in filmmaking. Using film clips from Birth of a Nation, Potemkin, Footlight Parade, King Kong, Lawrence of Arabia, The African Queen and Downhill Racer, Ritchie points out elements in each which contribute to the creation of a total experience for the viewer.
