Fifth Street
- 1973 ----- color ----- 27 min ----- 16mm
- A film collage of the painful existences of the men of Skid Row, men who live in a desperate world of trash, poverty and alcoholism. The setting is Fifth Street in Los Angeles but is indicative of life on Skid Row in any city across the United States if not the world. Through short vignettes of life on the street, the environment is revealed by example rather than academic analysis--the crushing humiliation, the oppressive boredom and the degradation of addiction to alcohol.
