Classroom Planning & Schematics
The Provost has designated the Undergraduate Academic Affairs, and Classroom Support Services, as the stewards of the University's general-use classrooms. While learning happens in many locations and ways at the UW, our general-use classrooms continue to be an integral component of the University's academic mission. The UW's general-use classrooms range in size from 8-person breakout rooms to Kane 130, a 720 seat lecture hall. Hundreds of thousands of hours of instruction are conducted each quarter in the Seattle campus general-use classrooms.
Based on personal experience and input from campus colleagues, CSS requests biennial funding to improve classrooms and classroom technologies. In addition, CSS participates in planning for new construction and major renovations that include general-use classrooms.
